JUST KIDDING! Not a new site exactly. I finally got around to updating the old one. Welcome!
The last few years have been challenging yet rewarding! I feel like I've been on the job training for 5 or 6 years. There's so much more to being an artist than making art (how many times have you heard that one). Seriously, it's exhausting! But there is nothing else in this world I'd rather tire myself out doing...not anymore.
Rest can wait, though, because I have a big show coming up soon! I will have my next solo show at Hemphill Artworks in September 2025! I am very excited to exhibit in D.C. again because this is where my career began and I miss all my friends and colleagues in the area!
Recently, I completed my fourth consecutive year of collage workshops at my old elementary school. This has been the highlight of the year, every year, since I began! The excitement and creativity of the kids always inspires me and gives me the motivation I need to get through to the next year. The school faculty and volunteers have been extremely supportive especially Jaron (the art teacher) and volunteers Joy and Julie! It's a community effort to make the event happen each year and it is worth it! I'd been running off the adrenaline of that experience for weeks now but, today, suddenly, I wish I could sleep for 2 days. Did I mention I am tired?
